Bunnyhood EP is out now!

Friday, August 6th, 2010

Falling and Laughing have finally released our first physical EP through Oddbox Records, it’s called Bunnyhood! You can listen to the tracks over on our bandcamp

Tracklisting

1) Feral Fanzine Frenzy
2) Roly-Poly
3) Kim’s Song
4) Stockholm Archipelago

They were very kindly recorded for us in Stoke, by Pete Horowitz.

I’m so pleased with the way the packaging has turned out! The image was drawn by Kooky Koala and was screen printed onto some of Stumptown Printers chipboard packaging by Get a Grip.

We’ve written and printed a zine which is in the box too with pieces about some of the things mentioned in the songs, and an interview with Pete about home recording.

It’s available for just £4 (plus P&P) from Oddbox Records, or if you’ve never bought anything from Oddbox before then you can also buy it as part of an awesome treasure trove of CDs which will also get you the new albums by Ace Bushy Striptease (it’s got a song on it called Bon Nuit, J’ai Changé Mon Esprit which is one of the best things ever!) and One Happy Island (similarly fantastic) along with the new Humms album. Win!

Bunnyhood… t-shirts

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

After showing a few people the image from Bunnyhood, I had a few “oooo! t-shirt” responses.

So here’s what I was thinking - Get A Grip can reproduce the four colours of the image on a t-shirt, and I was thinking about chestnut as it’s similar to the original packaging and you’d get the same nice red and white on brown contrast (as taken as I was with Safety Green mind!)

It would work out at £10 a t-shirt, though it would be a quality tee, and none of this tat that is sold to you outside at concerts.

These are the chest sizes:
Small 34-36
Medium 38-40
Large 42-44
X Large 46-48
2X Large 50-52
3X Large 54-56

To get an idea of demand (it’ll only be short run) drop me a message in the comments or by e-mail (dunc@theautumnstore.co.uk). I’ll probably be going ahead with it but this’ll give me an idea of the sizes I should be ordering, or whether it’s a totally daft idea.

Bunnyhood EP… coming soon

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

Falling and Laughing are taking our first steps to becoming an actual proper band and are releasing our first actual proper CD soon (yay) and it’s going to be an EP called Bunnyhood!

It’s going to be made up of four songs which we’ve been performing over the last year

1) Feral Fanzine Frenzy
2) Roly Poly
3) Kim’s Song
4) Stockholm Archipelago

Pete Horowitz has been wonderfully kind and helped us record the songs up in Stoke and it’s coming out on Oddbox Records, hopefully at some point in early June.

The cover image (which, honestly, I think looks amazing… more on that next post) was designed by Kooky Koala and printed by Get A Grip in the Custard Factory.

And here it is:

Bunnyhood

Yay.

Accidental: An Odd Box Records Sampler

Monday, July 27th, 2009

Now really I should have posted this up before Indietracks Festival where it was on sale, but you can still get hold of the recent Oddbox Records sampler from their website, which excitingly features Thank You Daniel by Falling and Laughing.

I think the idea that as well as being able to buy it on its own for £4, it also goes out as a freebie if you buy other stuff from Oddbox, it’s worth having a shuffle through their back catalogue they do have loads of ace releases on the label already, despite only being a few months old.
